I went running!
Yeah!! I went running tonight! Ran to the end of the strand and back...ok ...there was some walking in there. Saw lightening in the clouds over Malibu that was pretty cool. Hoping to do some road biking tomorrow - got to get in shape for our Maui trip. :)

workout log
Last Thursday finally made it to pole class again, after a couple week hiatus from my just trying to get back into it again. I learned a new spin (that i can't do so well yet) a good drills, that i kept practicing through class since i couldn't do the 10 in a row. great class.. i felt great after.
this weekend... soooo sore, couldn't move arms.. wanted to veg.. oh well guess that's the mark of a good class. Sunday i did a 3 mile run to get the blood and lymph flowing again, and biked in the afternoon. Met my little sis and we biked from her place just west of marina del ray up to santa monica.. it was a decent trip.
Monday finally could move again and i made it back to pole. she taught us an awesome move (that i can't do and didn't try).. but one day. But my muscles are acclimating again and today i don't feel too bad.
How about anyone else.. what's everyone been doing? getting to the gym? outside?
oh one more thing.. water. I'm so bad i drink diet cola at work ( i want to quit it) , coffee tea, but not much water. Yesterday i worked from home.. when it was like 115 degrees i think i drank more water than ever before. That's one of my goals - phase out diet coke - phase in Water!

weekly catchup
Ok.. perhaps there's been some slacking this week.. why i haven't posted.
The week started out well, some biking on Sat with a few hills was fun. Sunday morning did a long 5 mile run, yay. Monday night, met big G for a hike up Griffith. It's a short hike but steep. Great sunset views. I was on a roll!
... then Tue came. I was a bit tired, stayed a bit late at work got home late and chose WOW over working out. Ok maybe a rest day was ok. Then wed. i wasn't feeling great had a little sore throat so i went out with work peeps for dinner instead of working out. Ugh. Today .. back on track!

Good idea...I'm all about exercise and eating healthy as you know. lets see 2 days in a row of 40 mins core plus 1 hr spin my ass off class. Have to work off all the pizza and pasta from Rome.
I'll try to post my workouts and food daily. Writing it down daily can be one of the best motivators because it makes you accountable especially when others are watching and supporting you. Anyway I'm also cutting back on drinking...don't even feel like wine during dinners. That wasn't by choice but hey I'm going with it. I have 3 weeks till my 100 miler ride so I think that will be a good break. I'm also trying to find a clothing line that makes your butt look good. I see these new tights in the gym and I think they are Brazilian or something. Maybe the Athleta and Lucy brands are pretty good??? Anyone any comments?

Motivation greatly needed
Dude....I so need this blog. I haven't worked out consistent in a few years. Time to get the sweat on. Now that I have a new toy (my shiny new bike) - I'm hoping that helps too.
I did have a healthy dinner. Roasted chicken, balsamic vegetables, and a plum for dessert.

early start
For the past 6 months or so i've been wanting to get up before work and get a little run in. I have been working with the alarm and getting very good at snooze, sometimes snoozing for an hour and half :( . But all it's been good for so far is just making me tired at the end of the day.
Today finally i dragged myself out of bed and made that run. It was a little slow and only 2 miles but it's a start!

Start of a blog
A short bit ago a girl friend of mine emailed us gals suggesting we email each other for some workout motivation. Check in on what other workouts we were doing and use it to motivate each other. Well the emails fell by the wayside and after a short vacation i feel the extreme pudge setting in. I was thinking of the motivation idea and what better way than a group blog!
Post here! Did you workout this week, are you planning a workout, were you just lazy today, good eats? Let's motivate each other i know i need it.
Today: I made it home, long drive lots of lights, very lazy... But it was the perfect day to get back on track. My parents just left this morning, after a fun time of eating out , some wine and a mini vacation. did a great mountain bike ride yesterday almost 2 hours, legs a bit sore. I put on the running shoes forced myself out there. Almost turned around half way (would have been about 3 miles) but made it all the way to La Brea and back. Yay! 5 miles. Ok a bit of stopping and a little walking but i got out there, and feel great!
